About Huma
Huma is a global digital health company whose platform powers remote patient monitoring and virtual ward solutions across 4,500+ hospitals worldwide. Their platform supports clinical teams managing patients with chronic conditions and complex care pathways, where data accuracy and system reliability carry direct patient safety implications.
The Challenge
Huma needed clinical AI pipelines, remote monitoring dashboards, and automated documentation tooling built to strict healthcare production standards. The work had to integrate with existing hospital systems without service disruption. Any downtime or data integrity issue carried direct patient safety implications, making reliability the highest engineering priority throughout the engagement.
Our Solution
Clinical AI insight pipelines
Built AI-powered clinical insight pipelines that analyse patient monitoring data in real time, surface deterioration risk signals, and generate actionable alerts for clinical teams. The pipelines were designed for accuracy and auditability, with all model decisions logged for clinical review.
Virtual ward workflow tooling
Developed virtual ward workflow tools that allow clinical teams to manage high volumes of remote patients with the same rigour as in-person ward rounds. The tools integrated directly into the existing Huma platform, requiring no change to clinician workflows.
Automated scribing and billing code generation
Implemented automated clinical documentation tools that reduce the administrative burden on clinical staff. AI-generated scribing and billing code suggestions cut documentation time significantly while improving coding accuracy.
Zero-downtime integration
All engineering work was integrated into the existing Huma platform infrastructure through a phased rollout strategy. No service disruption occurred across the hospital network during the engagement, meeting the highest uptime requirements of the healthcare industry.
Outcomes
“This integration has significantly enhanced our clinical workflows and improved the quality of patient care outcomes across our deployments.”
